Hour 1 –‘An overview of the Law Society of Ireland’s Guide to Good Professional                  Conduct for Solicitor’

This seminar offers a consideration of the core principles of Solicitors’ conduct in Ireland of honesty, integrity, independence, avoidance of conflicts of interest, and confidentiality.  The seminar will explore some of the facets of solicitors’ practice in Ireland and the appropriate conduct in respect of some aspects, including solicitor/client/counsel relationship, privilege, and remuneration.

 Hour 2 – ‘Anti-money laundering’

This seminar offers an introduction to money-laundering and an overview of the Anti-Money Laundering measures of which Solicitors are subject to.

It will explore the concept of money laundering and the effect of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act, 2010.


The seminar will also explore the steps that must be taken to comply with the regime; including identifying suspicious transactions and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the legislation.
